敢为者虽败犹荣

Those Who Dare to Act Are Glorious Even in Defeat

图片天地运行自有险韵，世间功业从无坦途。凡成大事者，必历风雨洗礼、波折淬炼；若以 “无过” 为行事标尺，奉 “四平” 为立身圭臬，终将令事业陷滞于僵局，使众人困囿于平庸。

企业发展最深的隐忧，莫过于干事者肩风险，败则损名耗利；避事者无牵挂，安则坐享其成。试问：没有屡败屡试的叩问，何来柳暗花明的突破？没有敢闯敢试的跌倒，何来拨云见日的成功？没有容错容失的胸怀，何来敢为人先的锐气？那些在干事中 “搞砸” 的人，胸中藏的是开拓的火种，手里握的是前行的勇气；而那些四平八稳的 “守成者”，看似无过，实则如寄生于枝桠的菟丝，吸养分而不结果，占其位而不担责，久则耗竭根基，令生机渐褪、活力尽失。

若视 “搞砸” 为罪，则众人皆裹足；若以 “敢为” 为过，则创新皆湮灭。此风不革，必致 “勇者退、庸者留”： 如良田弃耕，杂草必蔓；如良驹束蹄，千里难驰。若败者比庸者更苦，闯者比闲者更难，谁复敢为天下先？谁复敢探无人路？

高能环境三十三年栉风沐雨，靠的是敢闯敢试的韧劲，凭的是不离不弃的担当。今时今日，我们更当为干事者筑 “避风港”，使其败而不馁；为受挫者架 “登云梯”，使其挫而弥坚；为探索者铺 “容错路”，使其闯而无忧。唯有如此，方能聚英才、兴事业，避平庸、远衰退，让高能之树常青，让奋斗之光永续。

The operation of heaven and earth has its inherent rhythm of risks, and there is no smooth path to achievements in the world. All those who accomplish great things must undergo the baptism of trials and tribulations, and the tempering of twists and turns. If one takes “no mistakes” as the yardstick for action and adheres to “mediocrity and stability” as the standard for standing firm, it will eventually trap the cause in a stalemate and confine people to mediocrity.

The deepest hidden worry in the development of an enterprise is nothing more than this: those who take action bear risks, and if they fail, they lose their reputation and waste resources; while those who avoid taking action have no worries and, if they stay safe, reap the benefits without making any effort. Let us ask: Without the inquiries from repeated failures and attempts, where would the breakthrough of “seeing the light at the end of the tunnel” come from? Without the falls from daring to explore and try, where would the success of “dispelling the clouds to see the sun” come from? Without the tolerance for mistakes and failures, where would the courage to be a pioneer come from? Those who “mess up” while taking action hold the spark of exploration in their hearts and the courage to move forward in their hands; whereas those “conservatives” who pursue mediocrity and stability seem to have no mistakes, but in reality, they are like dodder parasitic on branches—absorbing nutrients without bearing fruit, occupying their positions without taking responsibility. In the long run, they will exhaust the foundation, leading to a gradual loss of vitality and dynamism.

If “messing up” is regarded as a sin, everyone will hesitate to move forward; if “daring to act” is considered as a fault, all innovations will vanish. If this trend is not changed, it will inevitably lead to “the brave retreating and the mediocre staying”: just like abandoned fertile land where weeds will inevitably spread, or a fine steed with bound hooves that cannot gallop a thousand miles. If those who fail suffer more than the mediocre, and those who forge ahead face more difficulties than the idle, who will dare to be the pioneer of the world? Who will dare to explore the uncharted path?

Over the 33 years of going through trials and hardships, BGE has relied on the resilience of daring to explore and try, and depended on the unwavering sense of responsibility. Today, we should further build a “safe haven” for those who take action, so that they will not be discouraged by failure; build a “ladder of advancement” for those who have suffered setbacks, so that they will become stronger after setbacks; pave a “road of fault tolerance” for those who explore, so that they can explore without worry. Only in this way can we gather talents, prosper the cause, avoid mediocrity, stay away from decline, keep the “tree of BGE” evergreen, and make the light of struggle last forever.
