虹声丨善待“出头鸟”

“枪打出头鸟”，这句流传千年的俗语，道尽人情冷暖，道破世间潜规则，放在如今的企业发展和职场生态中，依然有迹可循，甚至司空见惯。

“出头鸟”是什么样的人？是在众人沉默时第一个开口的人，是在一片安稳中第一个打破平静的人，是在所有人都觉得“算了”的时候偏偏要说“不行”的人。他们未必讨喜，未必合群，未必懂得察言观色、八面玲珑。但他们恰恰是最稀缺、最珍贵的存在。

我们倡导让自由之风劲吹，正是为善待这样的“出头鸟”，让他们真正敢说话、能干事、无后顾之忧。但遗憾的是，过去三十余年里，东方雨虹在这方面做得并不尽如人意。

我们习惯了看财务数据、看考核指标、看眼前得失——用一堆冰冷的数字去衡量一颗滚烫的心。但这些远远不够，甚至极其危险。因为真正的“出头鸟”，从来不是为了钱才站出来的。他们敢于站出来，是因为心中有火，眼里有光，是因为有梦想、有担当，是因为相信这家公司还可以更好。

东方雨虹从优秀到卓越，既要有“领头羊”，更要有“出头鸟”。“领头羊”先行先试、引领出击，“出头鸟”针砭时弊、倡言革新。没有“领头羊”，队伍会迷路；没有“出头鸟”，队伍会僵死。一个没有人敢率先开口的组织，注定是一潭死水；一个没有人愿“做异类”的公司，终将在平庸中腐烂。

每一位为公司前进而敢站出来的人，都是公司的勇士、恩人。他们本可以选择沉默，却甘愿冒险；本可以随波逐流，却毅然逆风而行。

What kind of person is the “bird that sticks its head out”? It is the first person to speak when everyone else is silent, the first to break the peace in a stable environment, and the one who insists on saying “no” when everyone else thinks “forget it.” They may not be likable or sociable, and they may not be adept at reading the room or being all things to all people. But they are precisely the rarest and most precious of individuals.

For Oriental Yuhong, on its journey toward the vision of “Becoming the Most Valuable Enterprise in the Global Building Materials Industry,” we need more than just a complete industrial layout and leading technological innovation; we need those “birds that stick their heads out” who disregard personal gain, defy conventional thinking, and dare to stand up at critical moments to speak the truth, take action, and assume responsibility.

We advocate for the wind of freedom to blow strongly precisely to treat such “birds” well, so they truly dare to speak, are able to act, and have no worries about the future. Regrettably, however, Oriental Yuhong’s performance in this regard over the past thirty-plus years has not been entirely satisfactory.

We are accustomed to looking at financial data, performance indicators, and immediate gains—using a set of cold numbers to measure a burning heart. But this is far from enough; it is even extremely dangerous. Because true “birds that stick their heads out” never stand up for the sake of money. They dare to stand up because they have fire in their hearts and light in their eyes, because they have dreams and a strong sense of responsibility, and because they believe this company can be even better.

For Oriental Yuhong to move from good to great, it needs both “bellwethers” and “birds that stick their heads out.” “Bellwethers” lead the charge and pioneer new paths, while “birds that stick their heads out” criticize current ills and advocate for innovation. Without “bellwethers,” the team will lose its way; without “birds that stick their heads out,” the team will stagnate. An organization where no one dares to speak up first is destined to be a pool of stagnant water; a company where no one is willing to “be an outlier” will eventually rot in mediocrity.
