让日常之美成为现实，PPG“多彩社区”走进天津经济技术开发区

    PPG completes COLORFUL COMMUNITIES project at Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area

    近日，PPG“多彩社区”活动在天津经济技术开发区成功举办，帮助美化了财富星座小区公共场所及建筑设施。“多彩社区”项目旨在通过员工志愿服务、涂料捐赠以及慈善捐助等方式，为PPG全球经营所在的社区带来色彩和活力。本次举行活动的天津经济技术开发区正是PPG天津工厂的所在地，该工厂主要生产汽车涂料和工业涂料。
    PPG  recently announced the completion of a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES™ project that helped revitalize buildings and public spaces in Fortune Plaza at the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA). The Colorful Communities program provides PPG volunteers and products along with financial contributions to bring color and vitality to communities where the company operates around the world, such as at TEDA, where PPG has an automotive and industrial coatings facility.

    开发区财富星座是PPG天津工厂周边一个集居住、休闲娱乐、商业为一体的综合居民聚集区。PPG志愿者选择灰色涂料粉刷了小区大门的四个立柱，使用白色涂料粉刷建筑墙面，并用橙色勾勒窗体边框和廊亭梁檐作为修饰，这些色彩共同营造出了一个整洁明亮的环境。 
    Located near PPG’s Tianjin plant, Fortune Plaza is a residential complex that also offers shopping and entertainment venues. Volunteers painted the community’s four gate pillars in gray, building walls in white, and window frames and pavilion beams in orange to create a bright environment.

    “这是继2015年泰达文化艺术中心‘多彩社区’活动后，我们在天津举行的第二次‘多彩社区’活动，”PPG亚太区企业及政府事务总经理延彩明女士表示，“PPG已扎根天津经济技术开发区二十余年，我们的员工对于参与建设工厂周边社区的活动始终充满热情。此次的翻新项目是我们多年来保护和美化社区的又一成果，今后我们也将继续努力为周边社区居民带来色彩和光明。”
    “This is the second Colorful Communities project that PPG has sponsored in Tianjin, with the first one at the TEDA Art Center in 2015,” said Cathy Yan, PPG general manager, corporate and government affairs, Asia Pacific. “PPG has been doing business in TEDA for more than 20 years, and our people have always taken an active part in activities related to revitalizing communities near the plant. This project is another achievement in our efforts to protect and beautify local communities, and we will continue to bring color and brightness to local residents.”

    PPG发起并倡导的“多彩社区”项目旨在支持、保护并美化PPG在世界范围内经营所在的社区。通过“多彩社区”项目，PPG的员工志愿者们投入时间并捐赠PPG涂料产品对社区进行改造，参与到包括从粉刷教室、以色彩装点产科病房，到重新设计游乐场等各类活动中。自2015以来，PPG已完成超过150个“多彩社区”项目，影响范围覆盖25个国家超过450万人。

    The Colorful Communities program, PPG’s signature initiative for supporting communities, aims to protect and beautify the neighborhoods where PPG operates around the world. Through the Colorful Communities program, PPG’s committed volunteers contribute their time and PPG paint products to help transform community assets – from painting classrooms, to bringing color to a maternity ward and redesigning a playground. Since 2015, PPG has completed more than 150 Colorful Communities projects, impacting more than 4.5 million people in 25 countries.
